East Coast Railway Women’s Welfare Organisation (ECoRWWO) in collaboration with Medical Department of East Coast Railway organized a special Family Planning Sterilisation Camp at different Medical Units of ECoR recently.
With the initiative and under the leadership of Smt. Ratna Ghosh, President/ECoRWWO, altogether, 68 Railway employees and their spouses including 46 Men & 23 Female were sterilized with Family Planning Operations at Central Hospital at Mancheswar, Bhubaneswar and at Divisional Hospitals at Waltair & Sambalpur.
With an aim to give the opportunity for a better tomorrow, ECoRWWO has undertaken this step to enhance the interest of the employees for birth control. Employees and their spouses consisting Male below 45 years and female below 38 years having their youngest child below 05 years were taken part in the camp for Family Planning Sterilisation. ECoRWWO had provided incentives of Rupees 20 thousand who have only a female child, 10 thousand who have only a male child, 15 thousand who have two Female Children, 05 thousand who have three female children and Rupees 07 thousand who have one male & one female child.
The executive body members of East Coast Railway Women’s Welfare Organisation and senior medical officials & Doctors were also present on this occasion.
