Fare related changes announced in Railway Budget 2013


As per the Railway Budget 2013 presented today by Shri Pawan Kumar Bansal, Hon’ble Minister for Railways, there is no fare increase in any of the classes. However there are changes in Reservation Charge, Supplementary Charge for Superfast Trains, Cancellation charges o­n Reserved Tickets, minimum and maximum Tatkal charges and Clerkage charges which have been increased. The details are furnished in Annexure attached as follows:

(II)Within 24 hrs and upto 4 hrs before the schedule departure of the train – The cancellation charges per passenger is 25% of the fare paid subject to minimum amounts specified above (Rule Unchanged)


(III) Less than 4 hours before the scheduled departure of the train – The cancellation charges per passenger is 50% of the fare paid subject to minimum amounts specified above (Rule Unchanged)


                The Revised charges will come in to effect from 01.04.2013.
