SHRI G.C.AGARWAL TAKES OVER AS GENERAL MANAGER, SOUTH EASTERN RAILWAY

Shri G.C.Agarwal has taken over the charge of General Manager, South Eastern Railway on 30.06.2013 in addition to his duties as General Manager/Eastern Railway. The previous General Manager of SER Shri A.K.Verma retired from service on 30.6.2013.

Shri G.C.Agarwal held his first official meeting with all the Principal Head of Departments of South Eastern Railway at its headquarters at Garden Reach, today(1.7.13).He appreciated the good work done by South Eastern Railway in the first three months in the current financial year 2013-14.

Shri G.C.Agarwal is an officer of Indian Railways Service of Engineers(IRSE).He joined the Railways in 1976 and has worked at important positions in different Zonal Railways.Before his posting as General Manager he worked as Principal Chief Engineer in Eastern Railway, Western Railway and North Eastern Railway. He has also worked as Divisional Railway Manager, Bhusawal Division(Central Railway).Shri Agarwal has also been posted to RDSO(Research, Design and Standards Organisation) where he represented the Indian Railways in a Joint Railway Research Project co-ordinated by UIC(International Union of Railways).Shri Agarwal has also undertaken training in several countries abroad including France and USA.
